PU and epoxy describe material families, not a universal wet-versus-dry rule. Some polyurethane injection systems seal water-bearing cracks and joints; selected epoxy systems bond suitable concrete cracks. The cause of cracking, movement, moisture and required performance determine the specification.
Before choosing a repair
Stopping a leak does not by itself establish restored structural capacity. A structural repair may need an engineer’s assessment. Resin selection, injection sequence and compatibility must follow the specified system; do not assume that PU followed by epoxy is appropriate for every wet crack.
