What to record
A falling pool water level is not enough to identify a failed waterproofing layer. The shell, joints, pipework, fittings and operating conditions all need consideration. Record changes in water level and equipment operation, and share the pool construction and any previous repairs.
Before choosing a repair
The repair system must suit immersion, the substrate, joints and the proposed finish. Confirm how draining, preparation, curing and testing will be managed before agreeing a programme. Tile or grout renewal alone should not be assumed to resolve a leak through the underlying structure.
